Air Fryer French Fries
From-scratch fries: soaked, dried and blasted. Frozen fries are a shorter path. Do not treat them the same.
Bacon-wrapped asparagus is an appetizer that disappears fast. Toss spears with olive oil and a brown sugar, smoked paprika and cayenne mix, wrap each with half a slice of regular-cut bacon, then air fry at 370°F until the bacon crisps and the tips char. No preheat and no flipping needed.

Cut five bacon slices in half—one half per spear. Regular thin bacon cooks through; thick-cut may stay chewy.
Not all the brown sugar mix sticks to the asparagus. Press spears into what is left on the plate so the bacon picks up the crust.
Bacon and asparagus finish together in most baskets. Start checking at 10 minutes so tips do not burn.

Wash and dry asparagus. Snap off woody ends. Stir brown sugar, smoked paprika and cayenne in a small bowl. Drizzle spears with olive oil, add the spice mix and toss gently to coat.

Cut bacon slices in half. Tightly wrap one half-slice around each spear. Press each bundle into any spice mix left on the plate to coat the bacon.
Arrange in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 10-15 minutes, checking at 10 minutes, until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender. No need to flip.

Serve immediately while the bacon is still crisp.
