Air Fryer Cinnamon Apples
Sliced apples tossed in butter, cinnamon and brown sugar until tender and caramelized. A fast dessert that tastes like pie filling without the crust.
These are not cakey brownies. Cocoa powder and chopped dark chocolate make a dense, fudgy batter with a gooey center and crinkly top—all baked in a small pan that fits the air fryer basket. Pull them when the edges are set and the middle still jiggles, rest five minutes, then scoop warm into bowls with vanilla ice cream.

A thin 6-7 inch square or round pan fits most 5-6 qt baskets. Grease and line with parchment so the brownie lifts out cleanly.
Bittersweet or 70% dark chocolate gives the intense flavor and gooey pockets. Semi-sweet at 55-60% works in a pinch.
Set top and sides with a soft middle is the goal. They firm up as they cool if you prefer to cut squares.

Whisk sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a mixing bowl. Add melted butter and eggs and whisk until smooth.

Stir in flour and chopped chocolate until combined and no flour streaks remain.
Grease and line a thin 7-inch (18 cm) square or round pan with parchment. Pour in the batter.

Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C). Air fry 20-22 minutes until the top and sides are set but the center still jiggles slightly.
Leave the pan in the air fryer 5 minutes, then remove with mitts. Scoop warm brownies into bowls with ice cream, or cool and cut into squares.
