Air Fryer Cherry Oat Bars
Chewy oat bars with a cherry filling, almonds and sunflower seeds. Peanut butter, honey and maple syrup bind the layers.
Crumble works in the air fryer when you use a small heatproof dish that fits the basket. Cook the fruit first until soft, fold in raspberries, then sprinkle over a buttery oat and amaretti topping and bake until golden. Serve with crème fraîche, ice cream or custard.

A 7-inch (18 cm) round heatproof baking dish should fit most 6 qt baskets. Too large and the topping will not brown evenly.
Apples and pears need about 15 minutes before the topping goes on. Stir once or twice so they soften evenly.
Fresh raspberries go in after the apple and pear base cooks so they hold their shape.

Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
Combine apples, pears, brown sugar, orange zest and juice in a 7-inch (18 cm) heatproof dish that fits your basket. Air fry 15 minutes, stirring a couple of times, until the fruit is softening.

Stir the raspberries through the hot fruit.
Rub oats, flour, ground almonds, butter and salt together until crumbly. Stir in amaretti crumbs and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the fruit.
Return the dish to the basket and air fry 10 minutes until the topping is golden.

Serve warm with crème fraîche, ice cream or custard.

The UK's most-wanted air-fryer side: parboiled, roughed up and blasted until the edges go glass. Goose fat if you have it; oil if you do not.
